Make your own Gaskets?

    I'm putting my 66 skylark back together and wanted to make a few gaskets. Primarily for my rear quarter extensions , but also for my tear drop. I saw advanced auto sells a blank paper sheet, I was hoping for something in a rubber or poly material. Almost thinking of using rubber roofing material or similar. Thanks for any advise.

    I made my qtr extensions from Neoprene I got at hobby lobby..

    You can also buy neoprene at fabric stores.

    What thickness neoprene is everyone using 1/16" or 1/8"?

    Fel pro has a diy gasket kit with various thicknesses and materials

    Sharpened up metal tubing is good for punching holes. I do this quite a bit..
