lug nut torque specs - What are?

    I have a '78 chevy crew cab dually, 1 ton camper special. I THINK the lug nuts torque to 140lbs, but I'm not certain. Does anyone know for sure? :Do No:

    I went with 140 and nothing has fallen off (yet)!

    The one ton should be set to 140 ft-lbs.

    (I assume this has 8-lug wheels, and you need the 7/8 socket - if not, then they might've used something different back then. The 140 ft-lbs is what I've used for everything from about 1990 up, but I haven't touched any trucks that old for a while...)
