Lucille, my 1955 Buick Special

Luckily my brake issue was just a bit of air in the lines. I gave her a wash and took a few digital pictures. A friend of mine is a semi-professional photographer and has asked me to let him take some pictures of her tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have some excellent quality pictures to post here soon. Lucille is a 1955 Buick Special. She is a 4 door although for some reason people keep standing by the driver door waiting for me to let them in the back. p I'll be getting some body work done and have her re-painted at the end of this year. Until then I have a million little things to keep me busy on her. Let me know what you guys think.

Killer '55! I know the feeling with the 4 Door Buick. I've had people stand outside the driver's side door and stare at me in disgust because I did not let them into the back seat before I sat down. "Use your own door!" These cars are so symetric, and have such great lines that I don't think the 4 doors detract in any way from the intrinsic fashion of the vehicle.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I did the photoshoot with my friend and the pictures of the buick look so much better than any pictures I've ever taken of her. I'll try to post some of those pictures when I get back from my little easter trip with the family. To Andy, I'll post some to the 55Buick site when I get back as well. This forum is awesome. I have a bunch of questions I'll be posting soon. :kodak:

Thanks guys. I will be posting pics of the engine and interior soon. I'll be out of town for a few days for Easter, but I'll take some digital pics when I get back. The engine is not as pretty as the outside I'm afraid. I've been pretty much learning as I go with this car, but now I've got a buddy that I work with who will help and teach me a little more about cars. Lucille's engine does run well, just needs some restoration. Anyways, here are the pics the photographer friend of mine took. It was a pain but I managed to shrink them down small enough to post here. I'm having him work on a poster for me to hang in my garage. I'm also having him recreate one of the original buick magazine ads using my car. If anyone is in the Florida area and wants to get pics done of their car, let me know. :kodak:

My photographer friend just sent me the proof of the poster he made for me. I think it will look great framed in my garage. He's still working on my "ad" for me. I'm still out of town, but I'll be back this weekend. I'll try and take some pics of the engine and interior then. Later guys. :kodak:

 

Heres my 55 Buick Special I know it doesnt look like much but Ive already put about 2500 into it. Hopefully it gets to look like yours one day.
