low fuel pressure damage?

Does anyone know what cylinders may be damaged first by a low fuel pressure problem? Last year I broke #7 and #8 pistons. When I first got the car running I was only using the stage 1 mechanical pump through standard fuel lines. There were a few full throttle bursts where my fuel pressure dropped way down.... like 1lb or so. Only for a few short seconds for a few times, but now Im wondering if that may have caused the later catastrophic breakdown. I have the fuel system covered now with a Holley HP125 pump, 1/2" lines, fuel tank sump and a regulator and 1/2" return lines. I would really like to put my finger on why the last engine went away. My assumption would be that #1,2,7 and 8 would bear the brunt of a lean condition.
