After being missing for over half a century, the French submarine Minerve has been found. I hope this provides some answers and closure for the 52 families of the crew. Actually not so bad. Yes, the creaking and groaning of the ship for 3 minutes as she reaches crush depth is probably downright horrifying, as is the knowledge that you are facing certain doom. But once she reaches crush depth / starts to crush, everything is pretty instantaneous. Wham, you crush too and its over.
No thanks. Never like enclosed spaces. Visited Manmoth caves with the wife last time I was at GS Nationals. Was 300 feet below the earths surface. We both couldn’t wait to get out of that place. We held it together. Glad I brought my own flashlight. Dark as ever there was dark. Submarines forget it.
