Wednesday morning this week, my best friend, Salvador Delgado, died in his home. He was only 38 years old. He had pneumonia and went home sick from work on Monday, didn't call in Tuesday or Wednesday. His boss called the police to check on him and he had passed away. He will be missed by everyone that was blessed to have him in their lives. He was 'Uncle Sal' to Kerstin and many of his friends kids as well. Truly one of the greatest guys I have ever known. I am not ashamed to say I loved this man like a brother. He lived with Kerstin and I for over 3 years and became one of the family. Even called my Mom 'Mom.' Please keep Sal in your prayers and pray for his son as well. I can't type anymore :ball:
I'm sorry to hear that, Greg. I'll keep this in my prayers. Just remember, when the good Lord closes doors, he always opens new ones. Keep the faith.
Greg, I totally understand the feelings you are going through.I have had one of the toughest weeks in my life and have seriously retaken a good look at life.I can't answer the questions I seem to come up with, but I know that I have been picked to be a part of the situations that I was involved in.I think it a wonderful thing to be able to post these types of things on here and get the comfort from people who I have never met.I feel that we are a close knit group and that together with our friendships,we will get past our heartbreaks. It sounds like your friend was a terrific man.You can bet he knew he was cared for and this is the greatest thing anyone could have.It has been 3 years last monday that I lost my dad,but even today his presence is with me.A good friend told me this week a very nice statement. If you think about someone everyday, they will never be gone.they will live forever.I am saddened for your loss and hope he didn't suffer.I will say a prayer tonight(something I have been doing alot lately) for your friend Sal as well as you and your family.I have been uplifted by posts from some of the members here and wish to thank them for their help.God speed Sal..You are in a better place now. Pat
First off sorry about the loss of your friend I hope you are doing better. Pneumonia is no joke, back in November of 98 I had walking pneumonia it was terrible. I didn't know what was wrong with me I have heard lots of people died from it even if they weren't that sick to begin with.
Prayers Greg: We are praying for Sal, you and Kerstin, and everybody that knew Sal. Remember: death is harder on the living, those that pass away are in a better place. Think to the future and we all hope to see you later this year! Jim
Aw, Greg, I was sorry to hear that. You and Kirstin have our prayers, but I like the way that Jim put it about death. You will miss him, but he's in a better place. Hang in there, Shari
Very sorry for your loss god knows we have all been through stuff like this but you just have to remember all the good times and smile everytime.
