I took out the rear trailing arm bolt, and the arm stayed in kinda snug. Then, while underneath it, I loosened the front bolt. One wrench turn and it swung down and cleaned my clock. I had almost no sleep last night, so I decided to work on the car at 6 AM since I was up. Bad move!!!

    Hey Dan.

    Sorry about your bump.

Now, it looks as though I'm going to hook up with Alan Wander (69GS400s) up on I-80 and come into Salem that way.

So I hope you won't be too disappointed in me not stopping in at your crib on the way into Salem. Thanks for the offer though, it was really nice of you.

    c-ya at the drags!

While under may car making the new starter heat shield fit under the starter with the headers, I thought I had coaught a bolt on the starter.

I saw it swing a little, and then it dropped...no place to run! I was flat on my back.

The starter bouncing off my face didn't hurt as much as the back of my head, which I smacked against the concrete when I reflexively tried to pull my head back.

    Don't feel so dumb, Dan.

But a word of advice: if this ever happens again, make up a good story, like, "I got mugged but I beat the guy up and took HIS wallet".

Oh, Dan definitely got the worst of the two wacks. I didn't get it in the eye, at least!
