Hey everyone im rebuilding a 70 455 engine that im going to put in my 65 lark. Im looking for specs on the Lunati "hemi killer" camshaft. Also wondering if this is a good cam, or should i go with a TA performance camshaft....thanks Lardo 68 GS-california 350 65 Lark-455 project 84 Bonneville
Looks like it has 241* duration and .517" lift with 1.6 rockers - on a 112* or 110* lobe sep. angle. Take a look at: http://www.chicagolandbuick.org/partners/Charlie Evans cam tables.htm to find just about any Buick cam specs.
I have the 112 Hemi Killer in my 64. It is a good cam. Dyno testing done by Tri-Shiled and PeeGee was done directly comparing the hemi-killer and a TA camshaft. The TA cam won by a small margin. You can see the comparison on both TA's and Tri-Shield's websites.
I run the Lunati "Hemi-Killer" in my 71 455 with 10.0:1 and a stock blueprinted bottom end. It has A/C and PW's. The car runs consistent 11.40's and is still very streetable. I believe the car will go quicker with some more tweaking but I have only run it a few times. Dennis
