    hey guys,

I am looking for reviews on C.A.R. and nailhead Buick. They have some parts on their website and would like to hear about experiences before putting an order in.

    Thanks,
    Larry

Russ Martin, the Nailhead guru of the West! Also sells on eBay as 'Buickrodder'.
He's more of a rodder. If you're looking for maximum Nailhead performance, look to East coast, where we have Tom Telesco and Carmen Faso.
Tom is very active here, Russ doesn't post here, and Carmen probably doesn't own a computer!

Russ has lots of unique products. Some are avail elsewhere, some aren't.
TA Performance is another supplier of Nailhead specialties.

I've bought many standard rebuild items items from Falcon Global (eBay) which is a division of The Internal Engine Parts Group, Inc. They are a major wholesaler to machine shops.

What kind of stuff are you looking to buy?

Have bought several parts off Russ and always arrived on time and as described.
Also very helpful with Nailhead info on the phone when I've got stuck a couple of times.
An all round knowledgeable and reliable Nailhead Buick guru.
Will be paying him a visit in CA for a bunch of bits when I return to USA for a visit next year.

I've used CARS for some non drive train related things and they were fine...But mostly I buy stuff from Tom or Carmen.

Not diggin the "west coast" prices. Always seems a little high from out there.

I have only good experience with parts i bought from Nos department of Cars. Front upper bushings lasted maybe for 1000 miles, drive shaft support was shot after 50 miles.... bearing was narrower than original and didn't fit into their support so i had to make custom sleeves to mimic the bearing.....etc. etc. timing set was nice and cheap looked like those little chineese hands couldn't work the scale out of lower sprocket.....enough said after 2k miles chain was streched beyond imagine....well, TAperf has a better setup which costs 100 bucks more but You know what You are paying for:rant:. Poor shouldn't buy cheap couse he buys twice. I learned it the hard way:TU:

    Peace,

Ok. Thanks. As for Russ I highly recommend him but he ain't cheap. Also not everything is top notch. Stainless distributor hold down couldn't hold my dizzy from turning....and wasn't cheap either.
    Peace,

    For water pumps,
I used "Flying Dutchman", on the recommendation of Tom Telesco

Cheryl-Both east coast and west seem high to me compared to the middle!
