Just IN CASE, Someone runs across 1, I am Looking for a 63 Pontiac Tempest 2dr Coupe. Prefer the Tempest over the Lemans, and the MORE Basic the Better. (may Consider a Lemans) Primarily looking for GOOD Shell, Mechanicals can be dealt with, but MUST be free of ROT. (I Know, GOOD LUCK) Not looking for the Platinum "Edition", just the Basics & Priced realisticly. Tired of chasing the NON Existant ones advertised on Evil bay. Thanks JR Wills
This one's a convert though: http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/car/293433811.html Another vert: http://denver.craigslist.org/car/305330738.html
If you would be interested in a 65 Tempest 2-door post car and you come to the Buick Nationals in Bowling Green, Ky give me a shout. Its not mine (and I don't know the owner) but I pass it weekly and its parked next to a barn here in town. I have never got close enough to see if it has a "For Sale" sign on it but it just looks like it might be. It has been sitting there for about 5-6 months.
A 63 Tempest is one of the coolest cars ever built, but even with it's 50/50 weight ratio, it makes a lousy drag car... what r u gonna do with it? o No: :Brow: Frank
JR - I made a mental note (photo courtesy of Guy Paquette) Keep an eye out for a '63 Grand Prix for me, if you would ($4000 - $20,000 price range). Thanks - K
