Just brought home a 2000 LS and would like to pick up a set of Regal factory service manuals. Anybody got a reasonable set? Thanks, Jeff
Jeff, I see lots of late model Buick service manuals come up on Ebay frequently, sometimes at reasonable prices. For 2000, you may even be able to order from Helms. And congrats on finding your Regal!
Thanks David. I'm watching e-bay as well. It needs some very minor details and I want to get the books before I attack anything. Jeff
If you don't find any other source, they are still available from Helm, Inc. You will need the service manual and the "unit repair manual". They are kind of pricey at $135 and $50 respectively. Helm, Inc. published the manuals that GM techs use. Service bullitens are also available.
Thanks Dwayne. Hopefully it won't come to that, but it gives me an idea if what might be a good deal, and a back up plan if needed. Jeff
I kept seeing the $135 set of 3 manuals for my Riviera on Ebay, but waited it out and eventually picked up a new factory set for under $100. Then saw a couple used sets go for under $75. If you can wait it out, should be able to find a good deal.
Jeff, try Dan Bower http://www.factoryautomanuals.com He does sell alot on Ebay, but if you find what you want on his listings on his web site, tell him I sent ya.
Thanks Roberta. I've dealt with Dan on a number of ocassions (both buying and selling), and even sold him several boxes of books at Flint in '03. I just bet there was a set in that batch, but of course I didn't need them at the time. Got to visit with him a number of times in Rochester last year. Great guy! I had checked his e-bay store, but couldn't remember his business site. Thanks for the link. Jeff
