I remember about 20 years ago some older die-hard Buick guy giving me advice about what cam to run in my 455. I was a teenager then. It was at Quaker City and the guy belonged to the Penn-Ohio GSCA chapter. He gave me a club business card that had Gus on it, but in the grips of his paws was an axle-shaft that was being bent and twisted outta shape.

On the back of that card he had written for me the specs on a "jet-boat" cam. I bet I still have that card squirreled away somewhere.

I wonder now who this guy was. He had a 70-72 GS or 'lark that had been painted a metalic orange, but it was laid on a bit thick in some areas and the color looked darker in some areas. I thought it looked cool, but he didn't. Kinda like the expensive irridescent paints that change color nowadays.
