Hi guys i hope sombody can help me out im looking for a shop who knows how to port Buick 350 heads im basicly running to the regular machine shops who are not really interested in doing the Buicks i guess, at least a lot of them tell me " you cant do much to this heads , you spend to much money for not much performance" i appreciate your help
That is a typical answer from short minded machine shops that live and die by a small block chevy. What are your performance goals?
got a scott brown cam . 3.73 gears 2-1/2 H Pipe exhaust system.. im looking fo reasonable street performance and possible weekend strip..
Head porting is not cheap. Porting iron is harder than porting aluminum. I know for what it would cost to do a set of killer 455 iron heads, you are better off getting the aluminums. I would expect the 350 heads to be similar. I think you need to consider that.
That doesn't sound like you'll get much porting for that. Porting is expensive because it takes time. Will they give you before and after flow numbers?
