I remember waiting on mine back in 2017. Dano and I sealed the deal in February and then it wasn't until March 30th that he released the hostage. In all seriousness, he wouldn't ship until the roads were completely devoid of treatment - from suburban Baltimore to southeastern MA - which was fine with me. I've never checked the weather forecast so much in my life.
We also had the cashier's check that USPS took a month or so to surface. It was a complex deal involving my current Stage 1 4-sp too but interesting day. Left in the morning with one '70 Stage 1 4-sp on the trailer & came back that evening with a different one.
Well she made it safe and sound. The seller did a pretty good job of describing it and I think I got the car that I had in my mind. I was hoping for a car the was better than expected but I will take this one. There will be plenty of things to work on and there are plenty that are right about it. I spent part of the day yesterday working on the gas tank vent because it was poring gas after the fill up. I assuming I need a vented gas cap. Pictures will follow. Has anyone ever seen an AC car with clear glass in the doors and back window?
The vent tube coming off the front of the tank is probably toast. Rubber and plastic + lousy fuel and 52 years = junk. Inline tube carries the part and I'd check that once you get the car up in the air.
Yes Brett, that is what I have. I can still blow through it so I I was thinking I needed a vented gas cap. I pick one up from IT and give it a try. Thank you for the pictures.
Thanks guys, it has been many years coming. I have searched for this car for years "since Jarvis wouldn't sell me his" and now I have one. The story behind it is really cool too. Looking at the seat picture can anyone tell me if those are GM seat covers or aftermarket?
Definitely aftermarket seat cover, not legendary here’s a picture of the new legendary seat cover bench seat and a picture of the original driver side door panel. hopefully this will help.
