I am in the market for a 1967 GM 2-door A-body. Would prefer a Buick but I would consider a Pontiac, Olds or Chevy also. Don't want to spend a fortune so probably looking at the non-performance models like Skylark, LeMans, Cutlass or maybe a Malibu although they are pretty pricey. Looking for a car that go's and stops that I can enjoy while I work on it but not a basket case. Small Block V-8 with buckets and console. I am in the Seattle area so would like something in the Pacific NW. I have a 1959 Thunderbird that I might consider trading for the right car. I can send pics if interested. Let me know what you have.

    Thanks.

    Steve.

    Steve,

what is your budget? 67 only, or also 66?

I am assuming you have seen the GS on CL seattle already? Have you seen this 67 Skylark in Portland?

I know of another 67 GS in OR that is for sale but not advertised currently, I am guessing it is in the $7k range.

There was a 67 special that has been listed off and on in Seattle area, I am sure it will be listed again shortly.

Here is a 67 owned by a board member in OR:

    Chris.
    Thanks for the response.
$3,000 range. I would prefer a 67. I have not seen the GS on CL. If you could send the link I would appreciate it. Only saw a few expensive convertibles. I had seen the Skylark in Portland. Beautiful car but out of my price range. I will keep a lookout for the special in Seattle. Have you seen it on CL also?

I doubt your going to find anything worthwhile for 3K,not a GS anyway.
You should take a long look at Bobs Special car in Portland,it looks pretty solid.Engines are cheap, fixing rust, paying for bodywork & hunting '67 body parts isn't.

    Thanks Jamie.
Not necessarily looking for a GS. A Skylark or a Special would be fine as long as it is a 2-dr hardtop. Saw a decent LeMans in the Centralia area. May go take a look at that.
Let me know if you come across anything.

    Steve,

the GS in Seattle (Kitsap county actually) is around $8,500. The Special was on CL and I am sure will be back, but I think he wants around $5k.

I will keep my eyes open for ones in the $3k range for you. PM me with your email address so I can send them to you direct.

    Thanks, Chris

Thanks Chris. I saw that one in Bremerton. Very nice white with black vinyl top.
My e-mail address is smquade@comcast.net. I am new to the Buick scene. Grew up with Chevelles but who can afford them these days. I bought the 68 you see in my Avatar as a father/son project. I have had so much fun working on it with Oliver that I need to get another one as he will be heading off to college with the 68 this fall. I am very impressed with the pics I've seen of your car. I would like to bring the 68 down to your place sometime and compare notes and see yours in person.

66 Skylark 2dr Hardtop. Cream color with Black vinyl top and bench seat interior but has a set of 66 buckets and a console. Console is already installed and I will install buckets right away. 300 V8 with 2 speed trans. Needs alot of TLC but very straight and only a bit of rust around the rear window. A few parts missing so I will be posting for parts wanted as soon as I have some $$
    saved.
