Hi I have bought me a 76 Buick Electra Limited 4drht and I am looking for lower part of the door panels, the armrests are in bad shape. Anybody who knows were to get new ones or nice used ones. They are blue vinyl. I will appreciate all help or tips to find it.
you may be in luck. There is a guy on eBay who frequently has door panels that will fit the 98 and electra. I don't know if they are a direct swap, but he advertises them as direct. I don't think they are OEM and they are undyed white vinyl, so you would have to dye them yourself. You may not want to mess with returning them since you are out of country, but you may want to give it a shot. They always seemed to come up when I searched for "1976 buick". He may not be selling any right now, but I'll keep my eyes open if you don't find them first. I'd look for a link, but I'm in school right now and the school flter blocks out eBay.
I bought one of those that are sold on Ebay. Mine is black and not dyed or installed yet. It's made of a much harder plastic than the original which is made of molded vinyl. The seller recommends to use silicone in the edges to glue it over the damaged armrest.
you could try that, I had my original ones recovered in leather, they feel much nicer to the touch and to the elbow than the vinyl did, that may be a cheaper way out depening on how much you value your time.
