If anyone out there has a disc brake pedal pad for a 1970 GS, I would be interested. I believe it says Disc Brakes on the top of the metal insert, and Buick on the bottom. p.m. me, or post on this thread. Thanks. Regards, John. :TU:
The exact repro is made by a Board member. I think they were auto trans specific. www.classicarinteriors.com
Thank You Jim. I tried to follow that link in your post, but came up empty. No web site like that. I will try to access it from my home page. Could you help me connect with that member? Yes, I to believe they were Auto trans specific. Thanks again. Regards, John. :TU:
Hi Jim. I found the site. There needed to be an extra "c " in the address. He has the pedal pad, but not the insert. I really want the insert also. Thanks for the lead. Regards, John.
Steve, I'll take it sight unseen. p.m. me, and give me your name and address. I will send the check out tomorrow. Thank you so much for responding. Regards, John.
Old Thread I know this is an old thread..... I just got reproduced brake pedal pad for Disc brakes w/chrome center from ORIGINAL PARTS GROUP in Huntington Beach, CA Part#ADPP750 thinner than original, but still nice looking.
does this OPG pad have the stainless RING(like the originals) or is it a stainless Disc (ie--no hole in the middle where the pedal pad rubber shows through like the originals)---that is why he was looking--the repros don't have this feature. If the OPG pad has this feature please inform. Thanks.
I think they sell the Chevy style, not the Buick style. I make the Buick style automatic Disc Brake pedal pads, but you need to recycle the old trim rings. Duane PS. I may have a few original trim rings available.
To my knowledge nobody makes the Buick brake pedal "ring" currently...if you have one and the pad is worn, the rings typically clean up pretty easily as they are stainless and because the sit down in the rubber of the pad they usually don't see much "wear and tear"
