Looking For 67 400-430 Head

I am 99% sure I will be needing a head to replace a 1382983/1382985 on a 67 GS400(coolant in cylinder). The head appears to have a small leak possibly behind a replaced seat but I am waiting on an air test next week to be certain. Please let me know what you may have(casting only is fine), all other possibilities have been eliminated and I have never seen water in a cylinder without a leak somewhere. haha Thank you.

 

Would you want to replace both heads, or just one?

I’ve got a 455 set for sale soon. Are you still using through-head oiling or pushrod oiling?

 

Those are big port heads,..have it welded up

I'm sure I have one here in NY, but shipping will be expensive. Maybe someone has one closer.

 

I have a 985 head just pulled off a ‘67 430. Looks like a good core but I have no history of the engine it was on, I never heard it run. I’m in Omaha, NE. I’d take $30 for it and would prefer not to ship.
