You should be able to get one from any 1973-77 Pontiac Grand Prix models. They all had TH400 shortshaft as standard equipment.
I have (4) B-O-P TH400s for sale. $50 for each of the first four below (which may need a rebuild); $150 for the full manual valve body. 196? TH400 (from 1968 Bonneville) long tail shaft 1968 TH400 (from 1968 GTO) short tail shaft, original from car, missing input shaft/clutch pack assbly, code PX 1972 TH400 (from 1972 Catalina) long tail shaft, original from car 1973 TH400 (from 1973 Grand Am) short tail shaft, code PT, original from car 1973 TH400 (from 1973 Grand Ville) long tail shaft, B&M Transpack & ManualPak (full manual valve body), oil pan drain plug. Raced on circle track 2 seasons (1988-89) with Vega torque converter and Quicksilver shifter. Worked very well. (converter included; shifter not incl.)
yea man, i am deffinatelyinterested in the TH400 shorttail out of the 68 GTO. 50 bucks sounds good, just let me know wut the shipping is, if its too much ill try and find someone closer. I dont need anything else except for the case, so as long as the case isnt cracked we are still in business. let me know wut the deal is witht he shipping, and ill get back to you. sinclair
I'll get it out this weekend. If all you want is the case, I can pull the rest of it's guts out to make it lighter for shipping. I'd rather not do that without cash in hand, though. Let me know what you want to do.
yeah, that sounds perfect. just let me know wut the cost of shipping is and ill cut you a check with in the next couple of days. thanks, Sinclair
