Ebay auction i won.(w/some help)EBAY The auction ended at 8:02 and it was in my driveway at 8:40. I like it very much.:Brow: Fixing time! More pictures to come Monday.
Trisheild you say? I'll have to find a place to mount it, maybe the recoil on the engine? Got an spare slick Dana? :Brow: :3gears: Cody, i never got the opportunity to get a better picture but i will get many more monday after school.
Thats a good deal Local mini bike shop wants $150 for just the frame n front end. No tires or anything. then $220 for a 4hp motor n another $100-150 for the tires, clutch [can be $50-60] n other parts.
Yup, people want an arm and a leg for these. It needs a chain, throttle grip and i need to bolt up the carb and tank. Come spring i hope to be able to lay down some rubber, and tear up some dirt. :3gears:
Makes me mad that I passed up on a complete rebuilt mini-bike for $90 that my friends step-dad had for sale when I was 16.
Second is the motor, carb. and gas tank were off when i got it. I think its a Tecumseh, 2 or 3hp. Both the motor and frame were painted.
Manufacterurs charge way to much money for them. With this minibike i can easily go on and off-road. Not with a pocket bike. I wouldnt try to do an endo or wheelie on any minibike or pocket bike. But a burnout is a different story. :Brow: Good footage Cody! :TU: :3gears:
good deal. my buddies speed shop in FL when he used to work there makes these. (sorry for the poor camera phone pic) it has an actual sportster tank a 5 hp briggs OHV. and a streight pipe (silver thing in picture) it's crazy riding this thing. feet and hands are way out in front of you. really has some kick to it though.
Got it running. With a 4hp carb. and a 3hp carb. Both do the same thing, start for 2-3 seconds and die. And it only starts with the starting fluid. What's wrong? Does hose length from tank to carb. matter? Also does anyone know how to cross-reference from a Tecumseh model no. to the exact sears? Thanks in advance.
have you opened the carb up yet? it sounds like the float is stuck or the carb interiors are gummed up. it could also require the pump to be rebuilt but it should idle atleast with a busted pump (unless it's completely gone) you maybe putting enough starting fluid in it to let it run for 2-3 seconds since they don't move alot of air.
Switched the carbs 4 times today again. The fuel flows through the tube into the carb. The fuel is in the bowl and when i take the carb off the fuel will come out. What's wrong? The fuel bowl is clean. When i got the carb and intake setup (with the motor but seperate) the intake was going UP to the block. Is this right. I switched it around so the fuel in the intake would go down into the block but still no luck. There is spark because it fires. Do i need a new carb.? Also inside the block near the outside the by the intake valve when i look inside its always dry but then again when i start it the starting fluid that was in the carb. is dryed up too. I guess the float could be stuck. But im stumpped. o No: Thanks in advance. And Thanks tlivingd.
Small engine repair Here's a fix that worked for me one time. Unscrew the idle mixture valve and spray some carb cleaner in there. What I found was a small amount of gas in this valve had solidified and I scraped it out with an eyeglass screwdriver, reinserted the mixture screw and it fired right up. But I think carb cleaner woud do the trick without any scraping. John d
the float needle maybe stuck. check it's opening and maybe replace the float valve seat and needle. and blast it out with carb cleaner. nate
