Couldn't pick a better day for a cruise. Unfortunately, its probably the last warm day of the year in NY.

What a great day, a lttle wet in the morning, but it cleared up nicely. Much cooler down near the water, the cars loved it. Dave (Gritty Kitty) stopped by my place with his 69 about 7:10, we went and got some gas, then took the 35 minute ride out to Kennys(RedGS1). Everyone arrived shortly thereafter. Jason Cook(Buick64203) with his newly aquired 70 Stage1 4 speed, Ron Mooney(Tufbuick) with his 72 Stage1, Steve(71stagegs) with his Silver GS with a new motor, Bill Mahoney(BillMah52) with his 72 GS350, and Eric(Killrbuick66455) brought his 2001 Regal GS SC3800. We left for the OBI parking lot about 8:15. Alan Wander(69GS400s) joined us at the Cruise. Kenny looked happy to see us, and was the only one in the halloween spirit!

Of course the State Police heard that there was a group of badass Buicks showing up, so they were there in force(with their Camaro pursuit car) to avoid any Chevvy carnage. We behaved ourselves, but some of the chevy boys couldn't help themselves. One guy in a 64 Impala got a summons, and another one in a clapped out 70 Nova got arrested(outstanding warrant??), and almost lost his car. Ron (Tufbuick) left a little early, waited till he was down the road, then did a 5000 RPM holeshot. I called him on his cell phone, told him the cops heard it, and they lit outa there with their lights on. Told him they were coming, and he better stand on it  They didn't, and they weren't, but I couldn't help but have a little fun.

You guys are setting the pace for the rest of us. We had the weather( lower 80s ) but not the number of GS cars and enthusiasm that you LI guys have.

This was a great day. Weather cleared up nice for us and we took advantage.
Was great to see a good portion of the Long Island boys make it out for what may be the last of the season.
Have to get in some big kudos to Kenny(RedGS1) for hooking me up with the correct quadrajet for my GS350. Wouldn't take a dime for it.
Kenny, you are a class act!
One thing I must say, I believe that this board and the BPG are responsable for bringing many of us together. I thank God for them. What a great group of people. :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU:

*The cops were bustin' chops when they "heard" someone comming down the road.....they couldn't see you, but if you pulled in the parking lot after they heard a rev or two you were it! When I left I saw they had two "customers" so when "I" got out of their view I did a JOHNNO for them to hear and not see. ( It wasn't me officer.....I think it was the guy with that RED CHEVELLE.)

Ah Yes!!! Having all that Big Block Buick power in my driveway and street was truly a site to see, a couple of my neighbors came by later when I got home to ask what was going on?? They all thought it was pretty cool :TU:
I just would like to know why that trooper had such a problem with my tires????? :af: :af: . He later told a friend of mine that was there that he was going to "take it"????? He told me that the were street slicks and illegal??? I have Hoosier Quick Pro's, with the DOT stamping on the sidewalls,I tried to tell him they were street legal and he got all pissed and said if I make him get out his gauge and measure them he would give me a ticket for each one!! Saying they each carried a fine of $200.00!!! :jd: I could tell he was a D--k, and just agreed and said ok,"thanks for not fineing me". They were bustin everyones chops after that.
It still was a great day,It was nice to meet Dave who came down from Conn in his "69. When Jason gave me a deposit on the rearend I'm selling him he told me to use the money to go see a dentist???? Anyone know what he means by that
