Locking header bolts-anyone use them?

    Anyone ever have good luck with those locking header bolts?

    Yeah. I had to file a couple of them to fit.

    But I don't use them any more.

    Use a good gasket from TA and when you fire it up the first 10 times just retorque them afterwards. They'll never leak again.

    That is the key. You MUST retighten them every time you run the car for a few days. It's a PITA, but it only takes a couple of minutes. And you won't blow out gaskets again.

    Trust me. I blew out 5 or 6 gaskets before I did this. Haven't blown one since.
