    On I-88, heading WESTbound, near I-80 crossing to Davenport/Des Moines, IA, I spotted a Dark Blue '70 (I know the difference even at speed :laugh: ) Skylark with GS hood, Rear Spoiler, Black CONVERTIBLE top, and it had the GSX Stripe package on it.

    It's a beautiful car, but it needs a new TOP (I could see that thing "ballooning", as it was coming toward me, on the other side of the Interstate.):Smarty:

    I've only seen the same car TWICE, but I haven't had a chance to chase it down for info, but I'll find out who owns it, and recruit another Buick owner here to the Board.

    Geez, I've lost count of the guys that have NOT heard of V8Buick.com, that I've REFERRED here!:shock:

    I'm on a mission, now...:laugh::TU:

    Could it be the same car? :Do No: Sounds like it, Black Stripe and all!:TU:

    I only see it on the Interstates 80 and 88, which are between you and me, Frank.

    Kind of interesting, anyway.

    I'll be on the lookout for it, now, to talk to the owner, as his Convertible is very similar to Mine!:shock:

    The First time I saw it, I thought my father in law had taken mine out for a joyride, until I noticed the differences: Mine has a White top (not Black), and mine doesn't have any stripes, at all.

    At first glance, though, it's almost hard to notice the side stripes, because Black on Dark Blue doesn't really show up too good.

    It's still a cool car, though! :TU:

    I see even brand NEW convertible tops ballooning down the highway...I think it's more or less a characteristic of the beast.

    The tops balloon because someone has not attached the top to the middle rib. Unfortunately it's only a strip that can be glued down and easily comes apart.
