After the '92 olympics I bought a shirt that said "Lithuania bronze medal" and had a skeleton slamming a basket ball on it. No one could understand why I was proud to wear it. But that was ,I believe, their first Olympics since gaining indepedence from Russia. Also they were competing against the USA dream team.

I have said this before. This team is a disgrace!! It it true that the fundamentals are gone. Pros that can't even hit free throws. "The next coming of MJ", that couldn't even score a point!! Other countries saying that they have caught up with the US. Do they know why???? Because our players are going backwards. Like many things in my life.....I yearn for the old days!

    GSXMEN Got Jesus?

Our team lost that game on the free throw line.:Dou: Gotta do much better than that, if they have any hopes of medaling.

The Lithuanian team was almost lights out at the line.

the lith's have been playing great basketball since the 30's.

jerry garcia and the grateful dead sponsered the '92 lithuanian olympic and thats where the tie dyed shirts come from and the rest is history.
btw, the original shirt is in the baskeball hall of fame and they still sell them. go to google, type in lithuanian basketball and you can order one.

What was funny (not to be discriminating) is the Lithuanian team was all white and the USA was all black. I always thought black people were better than white people at this game?

as they say, there is no I in team. this is the only team that is a disgrace to the people of the united states. all the other athetles have no problem representing the usa, just these jerks. and espn was making all sorts of excuses on why they lost to lithuania. sickening.
bring the olympics back to the amateurs where it belongs.

    just my .02

btw, rob,are you going to cecil with the car?

The US team is a true representation of how basketball in the the NBA has deteriorated. The NBA has lost all concept of how the game is played. Someone needs to inform David Stern that the game is more than "pass to Shaq (who is standing in the paint for 5 seconds), let him travel, then have him commit the offensive foul as he knocks the defender backwards just so he can dunk it".

There is no NBA team today that could compete with the Celtics of the early 60's or mid 80's.

As they say, team has no I in it. Which, by the way, stands for Iverson.

    Hi John,
I'm not sure:Do No: All there is to do is hook the 12v and the belts/hoses. With leaving for Florida today I won't get back until Thursday night, so I'm short on time. Hopefully it'll get fired up before the beginning of September. Once I get everything together I would like to take it out to see what it runs, though I would have to make some changes to keep myself kicked from the track. I will need an on/off switch for the relocated battery and a firewall, since I have a fuelcell in the back.

The NBA teams have been drafting foreign players over some of our stars for some time now. That should tell our young guys and thier coaches something! Even John Thompson said after one draft a couple of years back that our young players were going to have to wake up and get a game, or they would fall behind. They fell behind like he said!!
