Well I have my vert so it starts and drives and am working on getting it ready to put on the road. Jumped into the tail lights as none of them worked. Pulled the passenger side lens and promptly snapped it half:Dou: the tail lights have a rubber molding around the bumper opening that seemed to make it more difficult to get out, ofcourse it came right out after I broke it. The drivers side came out OK but there seems to be allot of corrosion in the sockets and the two outboard bulbs on either side were missing. Well I blew out the sockets and dropped in some new 1157's and have no lights still. The quarter markers work though. Any advise of where I should start? Also are there any aftermarket tail light harness's available? And can I remove that rubber surrounding the lights? Was it an option? It also has the bumper guard around the rear license plate. The wiring looks really ratty and I wouldn't mind finding some new stuff.

    Thanks, Kevin:confused:

Kevin if the sockets are corroded that may be your problem. The outside of the socket is where your ground for the lamp is. You will need to clean them up. The easiest way that I found was to go to a hardware store and buy a conduit brush for 1/2" conduit, its a brush that the plumbers use before they solder copper pipe together. I had the same problems as yours. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I checked the fuses. They seem to be good. I am sure eventually I will but a whole new harness in but I want to be able to have some fun this summer and get it on the road so I can enter it in the street class at the 1/8th mile track which is 3 miles from me!!!!

    Should be a blast!

The taillight harness grounds itself on the bumper, which grounds on the frame when the bumper is bolted up. I would check the ground and make sure you have good contact...:Smarty:
