    Don,
The lighter socket actually unscrews from the bezel. The light switch comes apart. On the switch body is a spring loaded button(see picture) If you depress the button, and pull the knob out(like you are turning on the lights), the knob and shaft will pull out from the switch body. Then, like the lighter, the bezel unscrews from the switch.

Here's a picture of the light switch disassembled. See the threads on the bezel? You can see the spring loaded button, and the knob/shaft

Does the spring stay in place after the knob is out ? SO you just have to push it back in place after ?

Thank you so very much for the pictures that does help a lot

The spring is on the button that you push to release the shaft. After, just push the shaft back in all the way.

Gee, Larry, do you have exploded pictures of EVERYTHING laying around?

You'll want to disconnect the battery before pulling the light knob. On mine, I have to wiggle the pushbutton, and the parking lights are "on" when the knob comes out.

Plus, it's so much fun getting your hand up there behind the dash... :spank:

Whoops, looks like you've got everything disconnected and out already.

Got it ! I Just press the button(spring) like in your picture and pull the knob , piece of cake :Brow:

The lighter's bezel is more dificult ... I have to be more patient on this one , the bezel is harder than the light's one to unscrew but I will .

This Board is so great ! Thank you very much again Larry :beer

   I just get the digital camera out, go get the part in question, take the picture, and load it into my Buick Pictures folder on my hard drive. I know I'm going to need to post it again, so I just store them on the computer. :pp My library of pictures is getting pretty big! :TU:
