Light Bulb Part Numbers Needed

I need the bulb part #s for all interior light bulbs in my '70 GS convertible. I believe there are 4 lights - (2 up front, under the dash, both driver/passenger side), in addition the rear lights contained in each rear side panel.

I also need the part numbers for the side marker lights and the reverse light lamps.

My buddy is putting together a deal for me to have bright LED lights, and I want to see how it 'wakes' up the interior.

I'm not doing the directional signals because a relay is required for the 'blinking' action.

    Thanks in advance :TU:

These lamp numbers are from the '71 Chassis manual. I expect '70 would be the same.
Under dash courtesy lamps # 89, sail panel courtesy lamp #212,side markers lamp # 194, reverse lamp # 1157.
1157 is a 2 element lamp. I cleaned up a rear harness for installation later this year. I'd swear it has a single element socket & a # 1156 lamp. Book states 1156 for wagons only.
I don't have access to the owners manual to confirm. Parts book states refer to standard stock catalogue.

    Thanks Steve -

I'm also pretty sure the reverse tail lamps are single filament

I found this light bulb chart that Korrie posted - now if we can only get it larger.

Where do I find out how many bulbs I need. For example, I'll put these LED lights in my instrument cluster, do I need two per instrument? Is this information in the chassis manual or the assembly manual?

Here's the entire light bulb chart, for a 1970 Buick 'A' Body - taken from my assembly manual -

Same listed lamp for the back up. Maybe a misprint common to more than one year?

Well this is getting interesting---I checked my 72 Owners manual and body book and it calls for an 1157, yet every back up lamp I ever replaced in the older GM cars were the single element 1156. My car is in winter storage yet(darn snow) and I cant go out to check it out. But an 1156 is a totally different bulb vs the 1157 because the 1157 has staggered tits/nubs whatever they are called vs the straight/parallel tits/nubs on the the 1156's.

I hope I am not out of line using that phrase but that is what we call those things at the side of the lamp.

Since checked the harness I repaired. 1156 is the lamp, one pin on the bottom.
1157 for the stop/turn with two pins on the bottom, one for each element.
Sounds like a simple typing error that didn't get checked before the manuals were printed.

I agree with the single filament 1156 bulbs for reverse lights!

    Thanks for all the replies.

It's interesting that my chassis manual states 212 is for coupes only (see above). Is 212 correct for the rear interior lights in a convertible see below?

BTW - If anyone is interested in LED light bulbs for their Buick, please see This Post

    Here's the convertible lights -

Convertible rear courtesy lights are # 90 only for the "B" body cars. No listing in the '71 chassis manual for the "A" body.
There was a bit of discussion here about a year ago on this. Not sure what the outcome was.

I checked mine tonight, and they state GE90 on the bulb (#90). They look exactly like this. I don't know if they're original, but I do know they work!

Also, my Fisher Body manual stated #1156 for the reverse lamps, contradicting the chassis manual part number #1157

    Thanks Steve :beer
