    is a freight train!!!!!!!!!

Top frame in, discovered it has some issues so Plan B now in effect, car goes back for complete paint, top will have to go on later.

I had test fit the frame previously (2001), and it worked fine for what I knew. All painted and detailed and now installed, when it goes down it is slightly cocked over on one side, and we can't rig/adjust/tweak it out so now looking for a new set of siderails. Its a major bummer as I put hours and hours of prep into these parts that I bought right here on this board. :ball:

Never noticed it before as I had no interior panels in place to compare to, and didn't know what I was looking for.

On the bright side, car will be painted and reassembled with all glass and electrical in, so I have lots to do and when we do find some top parts I will be able to make sure everything is perfect before it gets covered.

But there is the trick, I need top parts, any leads appreciated.

    Just thought I'd update everyone...

    later

You may have to shim the top mounting point on the side where the frame folds too close to the quarter. :Brow:

Already tried that....the basic problem is once folded down the very forward part (ie the middle of the top rail assy) sits over to one side too far. Only on drivers side. Pass side is good although we could split the difference and that would be fine too. But no matter how we shim or adjust things, can't get the top to fall in line by itself....

Oh well. Already have several leads on parts and tops, we'll see how it plays out....

    Thanks
