Does anybody have some good advice on how to lift the car about 40 inches? At least that is enough of room to sit down and work underneath. I saw some air lift bumper jacks for a reasonable price. Are they any good or is there a better alternative. Thanks

    Scissor Lift

For Limited Space And Budget You Can Get A Scissor Lift, Various Vendors Out There, The Northern Equip Catalog Has A Few-i Think They Go Up About 4ft/little More Than That. Easy To Move-work On Household 110v

Johnno , are you doing a frame off ? If so a long chain and a few 4x4x8's jack stands & a cherry picker work well . That's how I did mine . It's a lot more involved than this but if you're planning on dropping the chassis a bumper jack wouldn't be much good .I scraped my Lark's underbelly and coated it with Duplicolor Truck Bed Liner . Came out beautiful . Let me know , I've got pics.

I wouldn't get under anything that was lifted by the bumpers, you're just asking for spot in the darwin awards if you do that. :Dou:
