I had read here that there have been some issues with lifters for our Buicks.

Are chevy lifters still the hot ticket to use with an adjustable valvetrain to compensate for the different cup depth? I am thinking of replacing the Rhoads lifters I currently have while I have the engine torn apart.

I have been using the TA ball check lifters as of late with very good results.
I am not a big fan of replacing lifters on an already run cam, even with new lifters. I t can sometimes cause problems, I have had it happen, but maybe that's just me. Jim Burek

My experience with Comp Cams is that they prefered to warranty the cam and 16 lifters rather than allow me to replace one defective lifter. This on a cam with 35 minutes run time, and no visible problems with the lobe or the lifter foot.

That was a concern I had as well. I guess I will stick with the Rhoads for now. I plan to upgrade my cam pretty soon anyway. Was kinda curios about comparing the cam's behavior with the two different lifters. Not a big deal though.

Thanks for the input guys.:TU:
