Lifter question?

    350 Lifter question?

    I have been reading several threads about problems with replacement lifters.

    Is this a problem with Buick lifters for all engines across the board?

    I have a 71 350 with a lifter/valvetrain tick, is this something I need to worry about when replacing lifters?

    Would I be able to use either of these (From PartsAmerica/Schucks) without problem:

    AE Clevite Engine Parts 2131685
    Sealed Power HT969

    Chris,
    I don't think anybody is gonna be willing to say you can use a particular type lifter "without problem".
    If you elect to buy from a local parts store just be sure to follow the advice given in the other lifter post.
    1) Use a lifter with a ball check valve in the plunger.
    2) Thoroughly disassemble and clean each lifter (do not skip this)
    3) Test the lifters before you reinstall the intake. (per the instructions in previous post)
