There was an earlier thread that brought something to my attention that is wrong with how my engine is setup. I have a 68 350 engine in my car that has crane lifters and newer pushrods for oiling through them to the rocker arms. The rocker arms themselves are 68 also. The oil passages through the block have never been plugged so I have oil coming up through to the rocker arms both ways. I have Performance Engines by Stephen Dove and he mentions that it should be one way or the other, but not both on the same engine. How concerned should I be about this and what effect does this have on the performance of the oiling system? Thanks for any and all replies.

I posted on thread about that, but I have lifters that are made for solid pushrods(no holes) and pushrods with holes. My engine is 66 model and the oil holes are not block. The only problem I am having is a slight ticking sound from the lifters. What I plan to do is go back to solid pushrods and change my replace with a new set of the same lifters. If that does not get it then I will replace the rock arm assy. If that does not stop if from the ticking, I will drive it to it quits.:beer
