I don't understand where you want to go ??? Why do you think running wires from the front turn signals will be what you want for your rear turn signals ??? The 3rd brake light should come from the Brake Light switch before it goes to the turn signal switch . The right side turn signal should come from the RS Turn signal and the left side turn signal should come from the LS Turn signal. Perhaps you can tell us what you are trying to achieve ????
The aftermarket system I got is a turn signal/3rd brake light kit. The LED strip goes in the rear window and provides a third brake light, as well as additional turn signals that activate when turn signal is activated. The issue is the LED strip creates in motion illumination when you step on the brakes because the aftermarket system thinks both turn signals are on. Thats an error on the aftermarket system itself. So...I ran leads from the front turn signals to the aftermarket system since theres no signal to activate brake lights in the front of the vehicle like there is on the rear tail lights when brakes are activated. A seperate lead from the aftermarket system is being connected seperately to the brake light switch itself pre-turn signal so i get a dedicated signal to the after market system. So far, I now have what I am looking for, the system is working as I want it to.
Here's a video of what it looks like. Like I said, brake light gets connected later this week. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10218606019205479&id=1347037948&sfnsn=mo
Had considered installing some super bright red LED's under the louvered panel thats under the rear window of my 68. I saw a guy that had put a strip of the red tape lights in there and liked the effect but not the look of the install. You could see the tape hanging down where the glue had let go.
Finally completed! 100% functions as I wanted. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10218749359348893&id=1347037948
You can see it in the rear view mirror, people in back seat get a nice red light show when it goes off. But it's not obnoxiously obvious in the cabin .
All hidden with exception of thin LED strip that attaches to the top edge of rear windshield right up against the metal interior molding. Install was basic, but intensive at same time. The LED controller is configured for system that has a dedicated third brake light signal. So system got confused when turn signal was activated because our brake light goes thru the turn signal switch. So I had to run two signal leads from the front turn signals all the way back to the trunk where the controller is, and then run one brake lead to under dash where it attaches to brake light switch at pedal. I installed a constant 12V strip long ago in the trunk so I ran my power and ground right to that. The controller is mounted under trunk deck and then a small harness goes through back seat up behind window moulding into the LED strip.
