Here's an old car show pic of my '78 Omega SX. It was V-6 powered then, but later got a 350 Olds. Now it's apart in my garage, back-halfed with a 6pt bar, Jegster 4-link & 9" Ford. It'll get a 6-71 blown 455 Olds next

Here is the car mentioned in the last post...I like the bumpers pulled in too, especially when the bumper is narrowed slightly to keep it close to the body at the corners like Chip Foose has his team build them. I would do it with fiberglass bumpers though, to get rid of some weight at the same time.

Here is a shot of a 78 Nova I copied off of the pro-touring.com website, just for something a little different.

That S/R from the Netherlands that Eric posted looks exactly like my old '77 I had. The onlt difference is i had Cragar SS wheels on mine. Below is my current '78 affectionately called "Betty".

We nicknamed our limemist 76' Skylark "Phylis", the name of the lady that was the original owner in Colorado.

Thanks Heavy D. it has a buick 455 with TA stage 2 SE heads, 1050 proform carb, a TA gibson cam, TA 1.6 roller rockers TH400 and 8.5 rear with 3.73 gears. best 1/4 time so far has been 11.7 and dyno'd @ 400 horses @ the rear tires. It was my great grandmothers car and is still painted close to the original Bittersweet mist color.

Here are a couple more I picked up from the Racingjunk.com website today. The yellow one is being sold as a Nova, but it has a Skylark front clip. The red Nova looks great with the wheels up, and the rear shot shows how a fiberglass rear bumper & filler ought to look. There are quite a few X-body cars for sale on that site right now, including a 74 Apollo "Stage 1 GSX" that looks nice even with the cowl induction hood. Later, Randy

I really want one of these cars again. My first car was a 78 skylark, bright red. Fog lights, mud flaps, and a CB. Those were the days. I'll dig up a picture and scan it so I can post it here. I guess I need to get off my rear end and go look at Carls car.
