Anyone know how close the 74 rear quarter panels and trunk pan are to the 73 models? I've got a new project car, a 73 lesabre. It's got the usual rear quarter/trunk rust problem. I have found a section from a 74 that will patch it, but I'm not sure how close the two years were.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

should be the same 71-76 gm just changed the end caps. the tops are different for 2 door hardtops but the lower sheetmetal remained same from everything i can tell from the doors back. i know the coverts in 74 had same 1/4 windows even. pretty sure even the front fenders are the same minus the added reflectory. hoods are different though.

If you can find an old hollander manual it'll tell you what will swap.

I think they have a different line, I don't think they'll work; - I've been wrong before of course, but I think the sweepspear is different as is the general shape, - they look close, but they don't match up. I would have thought 73 had more in common with the 71-72 and GM went to 3 year runs, and that the 74 was more similar to the 75-76.
Best get the Hollander Interchange to be sure.

they dont look the same look as the the 71-73 rolls down more. however they share doors and possibly front fenders.
