How many Left (west) coast Buicks do we have on here? General location and type of Buick. Im in Chula Vista, CA (last stop b-4 Mexico). 1969 GS Stage 1 455.
Today's parking spots just can't hold a Buick, can they John? I'm in Kirkland, WA. East of Seattle about 15 minutes. 71 Buick GS455.
Steve, You're definately right about the parking spots. It appears to me that this particular lot is very RICER FRIENDLY!!!   John
Hey Dave, There Flowmaster tail pipes. I got them from summit for 90 bucks. Their only 2 1/2 I wish I would have gone 3 inch all the way back........... My Dr Gas is exgaust is 3 1/2 into the X 3 inches out and into the muffs (spin traps) then 2 1/2 out of the muffs to the bumper. I went 2 1/2 hoping to quite it a bit p I don't think it worked. I should have gone 3 inches out of the X pipe all the way back. The A body flowmast tail pipes do fit pretty nice though.
im in thousand oaks, california, 1972 skylark with a 455. len bentley is up in santa clarita, he is too busy to reply so ill put in his 2 cents worth.
Ok left-coasters.. here's another plug for the West Coast Nationals in Las Vegas next week (Nov. 8-9). Gonna be several V8 cars there to run alongside the turbo stuff. Be there or be square. http://users.lvcm.com/super6/
Guess....... I'm square as you know!....... Or in my case..... The Strip is the Square. How can you have an event double booked for 7 months and not catch it???????
I dunno Rich. Was looking forward to getting a close look at your car, too. I'm thinking of the 17" and OD someday not too far off. Or will it be TA Stage1 aluminum and a new cam. Or...o No: And we're sharing the track with Mustangs on Saturday. I'm not going to complain, but run the snot out of the GS all I can. Just glad to have an invite from the Turbo gang. There's always next year - and IF we get a GOOD SHOWING of V8 cars this year it might grow into something BIG. :TU: I remember 'back in the day' when the GS cars were new (of course I was cruising in a '70 455 GTO with a pal then), we'd plan a road trip about 10 minutes before we left town. Let's see some of that for Vegas... just get in the car and be there y'all. Dang, we drove from Butte, Montana to New York on a whim back in '74. Or I would call my Mom from Denver and tell her I wouldn't be home for dinner..:stmad:
Yeah I hear ya Gary, I know it will be a good time. I'll be there next year for sure!! Mabey we can hookup before then like at the wendover show or something next year.
Gary, If hittin the nationals was done 'on a whim', how much would you estimate the cost to be? ie. If I can run away, how much do I need to save ? :gt:
In 1970 Dollars... about $50. Sleep in car, steal from girl friends purse, dress like homeless hippie and hang out at truck stops looking hungry, or live on 10-cent Big Macs, fill tank with $5 bill, scrounge gutters for nickels. Oh, you mean NOW! Sheesh, I dunno. From SoCal probably several hun. Figure room, meals, gas, entry, non-Buick entertainment/aka:beer  o No:
