We've all seen the ads for an old car with Leather seats......I've never seen any indication in my '69 Factory manuals and dealer stuff that indicates REAL LEATHER was an option on ANY model for 1969...... So, What Buick's from, lets say 1960 - 1976, had Leather Seats as an option ??
Probably referring to "genuine deep grain imitation leather" . I've heard of nuagahyde but have not ever seen a real nauga!
I "think" the only division to have leather seats are Cadillacs. We had new 72 Fleetwood (tank) and it was all leather. Never, ever seen a full size Buick w/leather from 70-76. That GSX w/leather must have been some factory screw-up! Right Brad????????
Yea, some kind of screw-up...those boy's in Flint. Always trying to pull one over on us, but we all know better. The Skyhawk was for real, though. My original one had the leather seat option. It was also available on Starfire's (Olds) and I think some Monza's, but don't hold me to the fire on the Monza's...
Rivy's and Electra Limited's had leather seat options from '74 on......I had a '69 Olds 98 convert that had real leather ,and a friend had a '70 Grand Prix SJ with real leather seats in black.
I know Tom Telesco had an early 60's Riv with factory leather sitting on his lot. The car is in rough shape, but the leather is still there!
