Here's a pcitrue I took a few years ago at the beach as a very powerful storm rolled in.....The front edge was like a rotor spinning around from up top toward the ground as it moved. I saw it coming.....ran off the beach for safety and cover, but just couldn't resist getting out of the car for the photo op. The leading edge was throwing Lightening Bolts like Zeuss himself was up there and Very angry !!! I later learned tornado's were spotted along its girdth BTW.....this is NOT a black and white photo !! It was just SOOO dark instantly that the film didn't register any color except for the rear lenses of the cars !!

Here's my view just before we were informed a tornado was in the area and to exit the grounds immediately! Yeah, sure no problem. Along with the 190,000 other fans trying to get out! MARK (That's the Pagoda at Indy by the way)
Those are some nice pics. I got some bad rain in my area. Hail for about five minutes, pea sized. Got trapped in the garage. My whole backyard was flooded with about 1 foot of flowing water. We had a rotted piece of plywood sitting in the back yard and it moved it onto my driveway! Hopefully Saturday will be nice.
Believe it or not this is what the Chicago skyline coming south on 94 looked like this morning. A low hanging bank of clouds engulfed my town. D.
The hole in the clouds appeared roughly over Mundelein Illinois as we were driving up 294. Thought it was kinda cool... D.
