I heard Larry Miller of the Carolinas Chapter passed away today. He lost his battle with brain cancer. Devoted Buick enthusiast, husband and family man. He will be missed. There is a post on the GSCA site from Race about this. http://p066.ezboard.com/fbuickgsclubofamericafrm2.showMessage?topicID=164.topic
Im totally floored on this news. Larry will be surely be missed by everyone. Great loss for the Buick community and most importantly to his family and close friends. He will be missed. Our deepest prayers are for Larry and his family. God speed Larry. You will be missed.
I'd heard he was sick. That's too bad. He was really into his Buicks and he and Karen used run the car show in Bowling Green. Best Wishes to his family.
So Sad! We are going to miss a great Buick Guy, alot, Condolences to the Miller Family from the Michigan Buick folks, et al! Roberta :ball:
First met Larry and Karen at the 89 GS Nats when I sold him my GS 340. Nicest people you ever want to meet :TU: Larry will surely be missed by the Buick community
Chicagoland adds it's condolences The Buick community has lost a big asset today. Our thoughts and prayers are added to the long list for the Miller family. Take care, ShariB
Dave Tumas called and told me Larry passed away. Both he and his wife Karen are two of the nicest people you could ever meet. Larry helped me many times at the GS Nats, and knew more about 67 GS's then I ever will. He will be missed. Duane
I hate bad news about good people. Larry was as good as they get and had one of the finest Buick collections in the nation. He will be missed.
I met Larry and his wife one year at the Nats. Super friendly fellow just like all of the Carolinas Chapter. I will pray for comfort and peace to the Miller family from Almighty God. I encourage other believers to do the same.
I'm very sad to hear the unfortunate news about Larry-what a great guy he was and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Miller family.
Sad to hear about my best buick friend. It is with great sadness to hear about the loss of Larry. My condolences to Karen and the whole family. I met them years ago and participated with them in many a Buick event. My fondest memory was when I needed a body part for my race car. He not only cut out the entire section between the back glass and the trunk opening but he had someone put it in the front yard under a tree so that when Alan and I left BG we stopped by his house on the way home and picked it up. He not only cut it out for me but he gave it to me. Now that is an awsome buick friend! Since that time I have worked hard at the GS Nats. car show doing anything that he asked. It was the only way I could pay him back.
Not only did the Buick community lose a great asset the world is a lesser place without Larry, I have to say that he was one of the nicest people I've ever met, my thoughts go out to Karen and all of Larry's family!
I spoke with Karen at the funeral home last evening about one of Larry's favorite charities. Larry was involved with the Salvation Army for many years. Please make a donation or ring the bell in Larry's memory. I will miss seeing Larry at the car shows. God speed Larry Dave
Guys, dont mean to sound rude here but just out of curiosity whats going to happen with Larry`s cars and parts? Thanks
I met the Millers in BG '03. Took the time to answer questions and give advice on our '67 project. In later months answered e-mail questions and sent some of his fine parts including one of his grills and hood scoop inserts. Larry and Karen were very gracious with their time and knowledge the first time I met them. I feel honored to have had the chance to meet and spend time with them at our first meeting. I think it is people like the Miller's who set a standard of what our hobby is about-making and helping friends.
Scott, I agree with you that both Larry and Karen are good people. One year at the GS Nats we got Larry to help us judge 2 1967 GS's in the Concours class. He was so happy we asked him that he was beaming. You would have thought we gave him a million dollars. I will miss him. Duane
