    Hello,
    What is the largest valve you guys have used in a iron 455 head? I know stage 1's have 2.125 -1.75, but there is a little more room for larger valves. What have you used?

    I've seen 2.16 and 1.71.............
    I really think that the port is more the limiting factor than valve size,IE: They will only flow so much even with a larger valve that the "Stage 1" size

    Largest intake valve I have used was 2.19", with an exhaust valve around 1.72 or so. You need to be careful, The spacing between the intake and exhaust valve can vary, so be sure to check each chamber.

    We would concur with Greg. We have seen positive results with as large as a 2.19 intake valve.

    {the abocve two postings prompted this:}

    Jim -- this is mostly for you but . . .

    . . . thanx guys for the harmonious co-existence. While the four of you dont exactly compete directly against the other (well maybe in some areas), you all certain dip into the same demand side of the ol supply/demand curve.

    I think it is great that four businesses that are when all is said and done competing for the same Buick dollars can do the Rodney King thing. I have been a board member for over a year and have maybe 3 dozen postings total, but I visit e-v-e-r-y day. I have never seen any vendor bashing -- well at least not between or amongst you four heavy hitters. You guys probably account for 95% of the solutions here and 60% of the buick market between ya.

    THANX

    Jim for hosting and NOT filtering
    Jim W, Jim B, Greg and ???? for openly sharing opinions, guidance, resources, product recommendations (both pro and con) and for generally keeping the Buick heartbeat (oh wait; Chevy already used that :error: ) going.
