    Hey everybody,
When looking over the wiring diagram in the workshop manual, I noticed reference to a lamp in the radio. I have had my radio out and partially apart but did not notice a lamp.

Is this only something that was on the fancy stereo radios? My Buick does not seem to have the stereo radio as there was only 1 output for the front speaker and 1 for the rear.

If I remember correctly there is a screw on top that holds the light socket. I'll check my spare one tomorrow morning.

You normally have to remove the top plate to access the lamp. Is your not working?

I did remove a plate, perhaps it was the bottom one though. No, I don't believe it is. I am also just curious to know the location.

It just pops in the top. Held in with tabs on a bayonet mount.

I believe this is like your radio with the lamp circled. It is powered by the gray wire on the 3 pin plug from the headlight switch.

I guess it depends on the radio - whats the Delco number on the tag?

Thanks for the input guys. Been messing about with the lights today - got them partially working. Hopefully be able to drop the radio out over the weekend.

Hope you all have a good weekend!
