    dumb q time.is l74 the code for a stage one engine?i was looking up engine parts and i kept seeing a reference as ''for L74 only.

    L74 is your standard 455 / 4bbl
    L75 is the Stage 1

    Factory code for hi-performance

    L-75 was a rarely used factory code for hi-performance engines. Not only the Stage 1 but there is a documented "Hi-Performance" 401 C.I.D., 1966 Skylark Gran Sport running around Cincy with this code on a window sticker. Also, Richard did an article in the GSXTRA on a Hi-Performance, 455 C.I.D. powered Centurion that carried the code L-75 as well.:Smarty: :TU:
