Will be going there again this summer. I will post some good pics. When i get back. Staying at the campground . Don’t bother trying to get a spot. Been booked up for 20 years. Hot Spot.
I'm not a real amusement park type of person, but this has been a great thread and the video was excellent.
If you have Grand kids. take them. You will not be disappointed. Beautiful park. Hershey been trying to buy them for 30 years.
The pool is an old fashion. They pump spring water in to the pool . takes months to warm up. They have water slides . Fun place . They bought the golf course down the street. and an other campground 1 mile down the road
Ive been there before but it has been quite a few years. Really nice place. That skloosh ride has to be one of the only rides where the exit is almost as fun as the ride itself. That wave of water is nuts!
Even better than being at Knoebels is being at Knoebels with a crew of Buick lovers. These are from August 1992 when the Central PA Chapter of the GSCA had a get together there. I believe we had a 7-8 Buicks attend. Everybody couldn't get a spot where we were parked at. The chapter was fairly short lived running from '88 until the mid 90's or so. I believe Pat was in charge at that time. You can see "The Whip" in the background and we're in the area where the Scenic Skyway goes up the hill now. That picnic area is all gone. That's my 350 powered '81 Regal, Dave Shipe's '71 GSX w/455, Rob Taylor and(I think)Charlie Klauger's GNs. I'm not sure whose GS. Those were the days when every picture cost money to print so not many were taken.
