  1. Does anyone know what the factory switch location is for the transmission kickdown solenoid ...ST400 trans,on a 1964 riviera? My car is non switch pitch dual quad carbs...I plan to install a switch pitch trans later but for now I need to hook up the solenoid for the kickdown which the previous owner didn't bother to install. If the factory setup is not suitable I will use the B&M turbo 400 kickdown switch($50.00 from summit).thanks Rich

If I am correct you need a switch from the correct Buick the B-M would work if you use two of them one set to come on before the other one. In my 64's the switch is monuted on the intake and the first postion works the conmvertor and the second postion works the kick down if these are hooked up correctly you will not have a convetor switch or a kick down  In my manual it gives me the correct postioning for the switch ( I think i did this 15 yrs ago ) I have skylarks but it is the same principal as on all SPTH400's

ps when they work they are the bests transmisons i have used
