On a non A/C car Remove the door kick plate. Then remove the air vent grill. Behind it you will find a bunch of screws. Remove them and then the kp should come out with some bending/pulling and wrestling the cables. No idea on an a/c car. Hope this helps ...
Hope it's not the driver's side ... Here's what it look like out of the car , you prolly have to remove the a-pillar too
ok,thanks guys :TU: looks like todays project is dying panels.luckly thats all thats still attached to the interior uzzled:
about to dye them in the car!! am i missing something?i wrestled with the pass side for a good 20 min,I CANT GET THE THING OUT!!! :af: the lip of the vent that goes in the side is whats holding me up.(and the heater box)i'm just afraid of breaking it to reef on it much more.is that what i have to do?have i just not gotten the lucky spot yet?i can see the driver side is going to be o-so much fun gimme a 65 any day :TU:
Just to be sure about the 69' does it look like this ? The "cover" is "snaped" to the kick panel itself (see the holes near the screws at top & bottom) . The screws were very hard to reach for mine as they kinda penetrate in the panel after all those years ... :Brow:
yeah all screws are out,i can allllmost get it out,but like i said, ill have to bend it pretty far.im scared to go much further :error:
Every set of the '68 or '69-72 non A/C kick panels I 've ever pulled, had to pull the emergency brake lever bracket as well. That meant under the hood time. Just take your time. Got Posi? :3gears: Roger
no frikin way!!! i must be totally mental uzzled: i tried again wraslin it out.i just got done washing them, rinsing & they are going to dry overnight & get painted IN THE CAR :af: i cant believe it,one of those things were if someone else just touched the damn thing,i know for a fact it would fall right out at their feet ou: now i get to try to line it back up & SCREW IT BACK IN!
