Keep it heavy, "stock" and get it going faster....

I have my reasons for keeping everything iron and heavy, but I still need to get this 76 455 moving a bit faster. After reading multiple threads(and getting huge headache from deciphering all of it), here's what it looks like I should do with regards to finances, maintaining 87 octane, and looking fairly stock. Here is what I got so far.

    1. Keep original Rochester and contact the V8Buick endorsed carb guy to go through and rejet it.
    2. Swap out original 1976 heads and install 455 heads from a 1970 buick( I dont have stage 1 or 2, so not looking to add it)

    Now the questions:

    1. Can I keep the current 1976 intake manifold?
    2. What needs to be done for the 1970 heads to function on the 1976 block? Do I need different push rods, rockers, etc...?
    3. What head gaskets do I use, 1970 or 1976?

I need answers to first two questions, and any other info that makes this swap work. Budget is a factor, I want to do it correctly, but I can't invest a ton of money into it. Its a 210hp EPA motor that I'm happy with being a 250hp motor after its done(assuming these changes would net such an increase). I'm guessing its a federal motor since it did not come with AIR pump or any air tubes. There is an EGR valve but its been blocked off and vacuum hoses are rerouted for the deletion. I put dual exhaust using 2" piping from each manifold back in to two flowmasters, and the I have replaced factory air cleaner with Edelbrock chrome air cleaner assy with 3" tall air cleaner.

You will need a 67-71 or aftermarket intake,..you use the 72+ head gaskets,..valve train will be the same

Thanks for info, just a few questions...
    1. Why is different on 76 intake from earlier intakes besides the EGR valve?
    2. Is 72+ head gaskets to be used for blocking or opening something between the 76 block and the 70 heads?
    3. Valve train is the same...how about pushrods, can I use the ones I have in the 76 now?

    I appreciate the help!
