Well good news from the highlands. The Race car was moved this week farther into the warehouse, and somehow the key was left on...... 7 or gallons of race fuel is now in the motor.... And of corse it started on the first crank.... then locked up. I will work on it tonite to see if any damage was done. If so maybe I can get the Coupe going tomarrow and run it. Please no phone calls as I am going to be very busy, will update in the AM. John
I know the feeling John........The "Hate Tank" is OUT as of about 10 minutes ago. Rear main seal decided it was finished living this life, and I have a new "rattle/vibration/growl" from somewhere in the 4500 rpm range. Too many things and not enough hours..............I am not happy !!!!!! Is it a rule that if you direct one of these things you never get to race it ?

I got a buddy of mine here with a 69' GTO "Judge" that is gonna come up too. He can't compete in the program, but he wants to get a time on his car. 36K original car. I wouldn't be racing the thing but he has raced it since he got it. Sharp car. Safe travels to all that are coming. Not sure As of 9:00 this evening, my car decides not to start. Two rebuilt starters later and still nothing. Put the starter on the bench and it twists like a tornado, in the car it's like it has only a couple of 'D' batteries twisting it over. Don't know boys and girls, not looking good all this with two classes tomorrow :rant: :af: :rant: :af: . P.D. P.S. I'm sure this is related to the fire/flood damage!!!!!!!!!!
What else could go wrong?!?!?! Ok, so now the car runs great. Grounding issue. But know my rearend has a bent axle flange. This is getting old, real old. Patrick, aka Lakota has an axle he's bringing. But with my luck, if anyone else has a drivers' side 8.5 axle for a Skylark they have lying around and would like to bring (Scott King :laugh: ) I 'd appreciate it. We just got home. The video is pretty freaking bad a$$!!! and it doesn't come close to showing the incredible torque that Garrison's beast has on a launch. :laugh: After that ride it's official...I want my car to do that!!! Someday :grin:
