Like the title states I'm looking for a JW the wheel flexplate for my new 455 build. I already have one on my current engine but don't really feel like going through the hassel of unbolting the trans and pushing it back to get it off to so I can send it with my new rotating assembly to be balanced. Let me know what you have. Price, pics and location.
    Thanks!

Thanks Bruno. Are the stock and JW flexplates weighted the same? I figured the JW one is heavier since it's solid without the holes like the stock ones have.

Jw makes solid version, they make a lightweight with holes, the make them both I believe either external balanced and internal.

In theory the effective imbalance is the same for stk, solid or lightweight jw.....in theory........

Now given that said, im running a jw....I bought it used, part number is external....but it cam with the weights removed for internal, I bought it by the stamped part number......send it back to relegated so I could use it and the weights came back in a different location than it was originally produced. In fact so far so that the new weights covered 1 set of the converter holes. When I asked them about it they said they noticed that but did nothing to correct it. I had to drill a new set if holes.

The point on the story is if the imbalance was setup to be the same effect....why were the weights to on in a different location.....so now I wonder if I ever need to replace it will it be right or wrong.

TA sells a budget sfi plate I believe

They tried to pull a fast one on you it seems lol. I had a brand new never used TA budget SFI plate that I got with a parts lot but sold it not thinking I'd need it because I thought I'd already have the old engine out and putting the new one in by now, but we all know plans dont always go as planed.

Ben my JW wheel is the same as what Dan and Larry posted no black paint, looks to be plated.
I lived right down the road about 10 miles from them. They are building my new ProMod 2 speed and 13" converter and a new heavy duty "Wheel"

I was sold this one a few years ago and was told this was a JW "The Wheel" flexplate by the seller on this board. 20190621_202952.jpg
