Wow, what a great time!!! Great people, cars, and racing!!!! Have to admit that this was my first time in my 26 years of doing the "car thing" that I ever was at a drag strip - small problem now, think I'm hooked. It was a last minute decision to go(yesterday eve at 7), so dusted off the car that was the cleanest and headed for the meet this morning(only an hour away :) ) really glad I decided to go!!!!!:TU:

Yeah, there is nothing like the smell of burning rubber, racing gas, and the sonnd of big cubes through open headers to get the old heart pumpin!!
I remember the first time I went for a test and tune session, I was there just about every Wednesday night for the rest of the year.
I cant wait to get my 68 GS rweady for it's first trip to Beautiful Thompson Drag Raceway.
Glad you had a great time I wanted to go but the honey do list is just too long right now, but I am shooting for Norwalk Sept. 12

    So when's your next fix?

So which car is getting a new 600 HP 455 in it Keith?
Your Special Deluxe would make a great sleeper! :Brow:

might have to add to collection

I kind of like the wagon idea or a really base Special Sedan idea. Of course the 430 in the 69 Electra Convert surprises a few people, I could "upgrade" that and really stick with the "Go Fast With Class" motto. Maybe some competition for the 70 Wildcat Convert that ran yesterday or Smartins 71 Centurion Convert!!!!!

Great meeting you at Sheetz Thursday night Keith. I didn't get to see you at all during the event. I mostly hung out with the Mass boys at my neighbors tent. He's the one who sold Kevin the motor. I had a great time!! I won't miss this next year or any years after!!!

    likewise

Likewise Joe, it's amaizing how you can pick out a fellow Buick person at a sheetz on a rainy night. When you mentioned the 455 engine swap I knew it was time to mention the V8Buick site. I watched for you at Quaker but hung around the car and track most of the day, didn't venture into the tent area. much.
