Sorry not a buick .......We just bought a new Jr Dragster and my daughter is moving up to a faster car.

This is a 2006 East Coast Chassis
    Mcgee 3" engine
    Polar Clutch
    The best of everything
NHRA / IHRA 8.90 class car with helmet bars and leg belts
Proven winner !! Just add driver and go racing

It was built for NHRA 8.90 class. The car has ran 8.20s in the 1/8th bracket racing with a 145 lb driver and soft tune. So with a smaller driver and be agressive with the tune it would go 7.90s. In the worst weather we could go 8.40s and used weight to dail in to 8.90s or just kept a pad and let her drive the top end.

We have (3) bodies that go with the car. Our sponser had a specific body for national events and one for display and we had a primered body we used to test and tune and bracket race. The (2) extra bodys come with holding frames that connect to exact chassis mount locations. They will sit on the floor or hang easy in the garage or trailer.

We are asking $ 9800.00 FIRM ( have over $ 15,000 invested ) OR would love to trade for a Buick driver car of similar value OR Buick race car OR Buick Hi Po parts OR Buick Race engine ?????? [/I<img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g183/Rack4u/DSCN0992.jpg">MG]

    Thank you for looking !

Very cool. How old do they start running those? I've seen them before and thought it would be cool some day when my daughter is at least old enough to master a something more complicated than a tri cycle.

My daughter started at 8 yrs old and is now 14. NHRA rule is 8-9 yrs but I have seen younger kids at outlaw bracket tracks. NHRA / IHRA has a 12.90 class for beginners but most bracket tracks run them ALL together. Larger tracks will break them into two or three groups by age or E.T.

Boy, it has been a blast for us!

Before your daughter was a teenager she went down the 1/8th quicker than me and my Skylark can :Dou: .....I gotta get a posi and a big block

I'm surprised to see how much more expensive the drag racing side of go-kart racing is compared to the circle track version. Obviously not much in common but still it looks like it is twice as expensice.

She was going 7.90s at 10-11 yrs old at Outlaw tracks. Then we started running NHRA / IHRA points meets and had to comply to the age vs E.T. rules and back it down to 8.90s.

You're right I have had allot of fast ( I thought ) street cars that would not run near that fast.

You can Jr Race cheapear. The 1st jr we bought we got 2 extra engines,Ton of extra clutches and parts, fire suit & helmet, an old golf cart, 10' x 10' EZ up and an open converted boat trailer with tool box all for $ 4500.00

Here is a pic of her 1st car...The 1st pass we estimated to be about 11.50s based on how fast prior owners said the car was, Celeste's weight, clutch setting, launch rpm and so on...I was just learning about the cars and had it turned up more than I knew... She went a 9.70 cracking the trottle 1/2 track to get it back in the groove. Could not make the return road loop and went through the dirt barely missing a light pole, got back on the return road and stopped at the ticket booth. The first thing she said was..."That was fun can we make it go faster" Her mom was still passed out in the golf cart by the time we got to her. FUN !
